Brent Crude Falls 0.35% Amid Global Weakness

Crude oil prices fell in futures trade on Friday, amid weak global trends. The price of Brent crude declined by 0.35% to $93.45 per barrel in New York. Crude oil futures for September delivery slipped 0.22% in 3,477 lots.

Analysts said the prices fell after participants offloaded their holdings amid weak demand in the spot market. Globally, West Texas Intermediate crude was trading 0.58% lower at $86.33 per barrel.

The price of Brent crude declined to $93.45 per barrel, while Crude oil futures for September delivery slipped by 0.22%. The price fell from Rs 8,304 to Rs 8,286 per barrel in the futures trade on Friday.
