Oil prices plummeted on Tuesday, with Brent crude futures tumbling $4.61 to $83.75 a barrel, a 5.2% drop. This move follows a nearly 17% three-session slide, putting the two benchmarks on track for their lowest closes since July 13.
The US West Texas Intermediate (WTI) crude also saw significant losses, dropping $4.06 to $78.55 per barrel, representing a 4.9% decline.
