Brent Crude Slips Below $87 Amid Short-Term Volatility
Brent crude oil prices experienced another decline in trading, sliding below $87 per barrel as the global benchmark slipped 2.16% on the day to settle at $86.451.
Despite this short-term setback, Brent continues to trade significantly higher than it did a year ago, reflecting the market's strong long-term performance.
The recent losses come after a strong rally earlier in the year, with Brent crude posting solid gains across longer time frames. The benchmark is up 17.13% over the past three months and has surged 42.27% on a yearly basis.
