Brent Crude Surges Past $100/Barrel Amid Supply Disruption Fears

Oil prices held steady on Thursday after Brent crude breached the $100-a-barrel mark, sparking concerns about deeper supply disruptions.

The price of Brent crude rose 0.1% to $101.34 a barrel, while U.S. West Texas Intermediate crude was at $96.55 a barrel, up 0.5%.

Traders were bracing for potential supply issues due to the ongoing conflict between Iran and the United States, which saw both sides launch their largest attacks on shipping since their six-month-old dispute began.
