The Province of British Columbia has taken a significant step forward in its Look West strategy by approving amendments to enable FortisBC's Phase 1B expansion of the Tilbury Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) Facility.

The $2 billion investment will support over 1,100 jobs annually during construction and generate more than $800 million in gross domestic product (GDP).

Minister of Energy and Climate Solutions Adrian Dix stated that the expansion is an investment in B.C.'s future, creating jobs and reducing emissions through the use of cleaner alternative fuels.
