Bulgargaz has submitted a revised proposal to raise its natural gas price for August by 4.6% from July's rate, citing supply disruptions and technical difficulties.

According to Georgi Tatarski, Executive Director of Bulgargaz, the main reason behind this increase is Azerbaijan's inability to fulfill part of its contracted deliveries in August due to technical issues.

Tatarski stated that the missing volumes will be replaced with gas from available quantities in Turkiye. The new proposed price for August is set at EUR 39.43 per MWh, excluding transmission, access, excise duty and VAT.

The regulated gas price for July was EUR 37.70 per MWh. If approved, the proposed August price would be 4.6% higher than the current month's rate.
