Bulgaria-Romania Gas Pipeline Opens, Boosting Regional Energy Flows
Romania has opened a new natural gas import route via Bulgaria, bringing in modest volumes but helping to supply the market and build up stocks for the cold season.
The new flow of around 0.2 million cubic metres per day into Romania via Ruse, Giurgiu is significantly less than the volumes transported via Cardam, Negru-Voda, where flows reach 12-13 million cubic metres per day.
As a result, the total volume of gas imports into Romania is approaching 14 million cubic metres per day.
