Bulgaria's Gas Prices to Rise by 5.5% Amid Global Market Pressures
The Energy and Water Regulatory Commission (EWRC) in Bulgaria has approved an increase in natural gas prices by 5.5% from September 1, bringing the price to €41.6 per MWh excluding additional charges.
This decision was made based on a proposal by Bulgargaz and an analysis of the gas market.
The competitive price is possible due to an existing gas supply contract with Azerbaijan, which keeps prices around 30% lower than European market rates.
