Bullion Prices Hold Firm as Investors Await US CPI Data Release
Bullion prices remained steady on August 13 as investors awaited fresh macroeconomic triggers. The international spot gold price declined by 0.02% to $4,466.40 per ounce, while silver dropped by 0.34% to $65.47 per ounce.
The domestic gold rate closed at Rs 1,52,939 per 10 grams and silver at Rs 2,38,008 per kilogram on the previous day. The market's focus this week will be on the US Consumer Price Index (CPI) data, which will influence the Federal Reserve's policy outlook.
A softer inflation reading could support gold prices, while a higher-than-expected CPI may lead to profit booking due to a stronger dollar and higher yields.
