Burnham Demands Allies Support Ukraine's Air Defense Amid Putin's Terror Campaign

British Prime Minister Andy Burnham has called on allies to support Ukraine's skies by providing air defense systems and increasing sanctions on Russian oil exports. Speaking at his first meeting as co-chair of the Coalition of the Willing, Burnham emphasized that Russia's President Vladimir Putin is using a campaign of terror with ballistic missiles against Ukrainian civilians.

Burnham stated that this approach will never lead to victory and that it's essential for allies to work together to provide air defense systems to protect Ukraine. He also stressed the need for more sanctions on Russian oil and liquefied natural gas (LNG) exports, which would increase pressure on Moscow.

Burnham's appeal comes as tensions between Russia and Ukraine remain high following Russia's invasion of Ukraine earlier this year. The conflict has led to widespread destruction and loss of life in Ukraine, with many civilians caught in the crossfire.
