Burnham Urges Allies to Boost Ukraine Support Amid Escalating Conflict
UK Prime Minister Andy Burnham has urged allies to do everything possible to support Ukraine against Russian attacks, calling for increased sanctions on Russian oil and LNG exports.
Burnham made the remarks at his first meeting as co-chair of the coalition of willing group in Kyiv, emphasizing that 'Putin is now hoping he can win through a campaign of terror using ballistic missiles against Ukrainian civilians.'
The Prime Minister stressed that this approach cannot lead to victory and urged allies to work together to dig into their own stocks of air defense systems to protect Ukraine from missile attacks.
In related news, Ukraine has been targeting Russian logistics hubs, including those owned by online retailer Ozon, in a campaign of drone strikes aimed at disrupting the Russian economy.
