Burnham Urges Allies to Support Ukraine Against Russian Missile Attacks
UK Prime Minister Andy Burnham has urged allies to take action against Russian attacks on Ukraine. At his first meeting as co-chair of the Coalition of the Willing, Burnham emphasized the need for countries to do 'everything we can' to support Ukraine's air defense.
The UK prime minister specifically mentioned digging into their own stocks of air defense to protect Ukraine from ballistic missiles. He also called for more sanctions on Russian oil and LNG exports to increase pressure on Moscow.
Burnham criticized Russian President Vladimir Putin's strategy, stating that 'this can never be the route to victory' and that it's a campaign of terror targeting Ukrainian civilians.
