Byron Seeks Repeat Victory at Competitive Iowa Speedway
The NASCAR Cup Series is back at Iowa Speedway for the Iowa Corn 350 Powered by Ethanol, one of the most competitive short tracks in the sport. Last year's race saw a memorable finish with fuel strategy playing a crucial role after a caution-filled afternoon.
Last August 3rd, William Byron drove his No. 24 Hendrick Motorsports Chevrolet to victory, holding off Chase Briscoe by 1.192 seconds. The win was Byron's second of the 2025 season and his first since winning the Daytona 500 earlier that year.
The race saw a total of 350 laps around the 0.875-mile oval, with Byron leading 141 laps - the most of any driver in the race. Briscoe led 81 laps, while Brad Keselowski paced the field for 68.
