Canada Eyes Nuclear Deal with Poland Amid US Trade Tensions

Canada is seeking to expand its trade relationships beyond the US by selling nuclear-power technology and liquefied natural gas (LNG) to Poland. According to Trade Minister Maninder Sidhu, Ottawa has held talks with Warsaw about building an atomic reactor in the eastern European country.

The initiative comes as Canada looks to diversify its exports amid an escalating trade war with President Donald Trump. The move would also put Canada in competition with France and the US for a deal to build Poland's second nuclear power plant.
