Canada Sees Temporary Gas Price Relief Amid Global Oil Market Volatility
Gas prices have dropped across Canada as oil prices ease, but experts warn that relief may be short-lived.
In Ontario and Quebec, gas prices fell by about 10 cents per litre overnight, while parts of Western Canada saw declines as well.
Dan McTeague, president of Canadians for Affordable Energy, said that Calgary and Edmonton can expect even lower gas prices in the next few days.
The recent decline follows a sharp drop in crude oil prices over the past 10 days, with prices falling to around US$75 or US$76 per barrel from US$90 per barrel just over a week ago.
