Candidates Address Corn Growers' Legislative Priorities at Illinois Roundtable
At the 2026 Illinois Ag Legislative Roundtable, two gubernatorial candidates and a U.S. Senate candidate addressed farmer leaders about the Illinois Corn Growers Association's legislative priorities.
The event took place on Aug. 10 at Funk Family Farms in Shirley, Illinois. Republican Senate nominee Don Tracy spoke to the group, while Democratic nominee Julianna Stratton did not attend due to a prior engagement in Martha's Vineyard.
The candidates discussed several key issues, including support for domestic ethanol demand through E15 and expanding trade markets, such as the U.S.-Mexico-Canada Agreement. They also touched on estate tax reform.
