Canola Market Surges Back as U.S. Wheat Futures Plummet
The canola market experienced an unexpected turnaround on Thursday, closing higher after a recent slump. In contrast, U.S. wheat futures tumbled, pulling corn prices down as well. Soybean prices closed mixed.
According to the latest market update from Farmtario, the ICE canola futures reversed their downward trend to finish the day in positive territory. This comes after a previous report showed that canola fell back along most of the U.S. market on September 2.
The sharp decline in wheat futures was the main driver behind the drop in corn prices. Soybean prices, however, closed mixed, with some varieties experiencing gains while others lost ground.
