CBOT Commodity Prices See Mixed Results Amid Turbulent Trading Session
The Chicago Board of Trade saw significant changes in commodity prices on Tuesday, August 18, 2026. Corn Futures for September and December experienced declines, with September down 2 at $4.63 and December down 1 at $4.87. Soybean Futures also took a hit, with November down half a cent at $12.15 and January down half a cent at $12.30.
On the other hand, Live Cattle Futures saw increases in October and December, with October up 37 at $219.15 and December up 115 at $219.55. Feeder Cattle Futures also rose, with September up 87 at $333.82 and October up 142 at $326.77.
Meanwhile, prices for crops from Agris at Thamesville showed mixed results. 2026 Crop Corn was down 1 at $6.28/BU, while 2027 Crop Corn was up 1 at $6.12/BU. 2026 Crop Soybeans were up half a cent at $15.91/BU, but 2027 Crop Soybeans saw an increase of 6 cents to $15.16/BU.
