CBOT Soybean, Corn Futures Decline Amid Favorable Weather
Soybean futures at the Chicago Board of Trade (CBOT) took a hit on Friday due to favorable weather forecasts in the Midwest.
Rain is expected across key soybean growing regions over the weekend, which will aid crops as they near the pod-setting development stage.
The US Department of Agriculture reported flash sales of 252,000 tonnes of soybeans to unknown destinations.
Corn futures were also pressured by good U.S. weather, with sharp declines in wheat another bearish influence.
Speculative positioning on the last trading day of the month contributed to the declines.
