CCEC Delivers Latest LNG Carrier Alcaios I to Expand Fleet
Capital Clean Energy Carriers Corp., an international shipping company listed on the NASDAQ under ticker CCEC, has announced the delivery of its latest liquefied natural gas carrier (LNG/C), the 'Alcaios I', on July 31, 2026. The vessel is part of the company's expanding fleet and will be employed for 18 months under an index-linked time charter.
The LNG/C Alcaios I has a capacity of 174,000 cubic meters (CBM) and was delivered to CCEC by HD Hyundai Samho Co., Ltd. The acquisition was funded with cash on hand and $170 million in proceeds raised from the refinancing of two existing sale and leaseback facilities.
With this delivery, CCEC now has 15 latest-generation LNG/Cs in its fleet, including six under construction, scheduled for delivery between Q1 2027 and Q1 2029. The company's expanding fleet also includes dual-fuel medium gas carriers (MG/Cs) and Handy Liquefied CO2 Multi-Gas Carriers (HMG/Cs).
