CENTCOM Chief Pushes for Renewed Strikes on Iran
US Central Command (CENTCOM) chief Adm. Brad Cooper has reportedly pushed for renewed strikes on Iran, including attacks on oil, gas, and electricity facilities, to increase pressure on Tehran.
According to Israeli media outlet Channel 13, Cooper made the proposal during a visit to Israel last week, where he attended a meeting with top Israeli military officials.
Cooper allegedly stated that striking infrastructure in Iran would 'change the rules of the game' and hurt the Iranians badly, adding that they would not change their positions.
The proposal has been conveyed to US Joint Chiefs of Staff Chairman Gen. Dan Caine and President Donald Trump, despite reports indicating a decreased likelihood of renewed conflict with Iran.
