CENTCOM Strikes Back: US Destroys Iranian Oil Tankers Amid Ongoing Escalation
US Central Command (CENTCOM) forces launched airstrikes against multiple Iranian oil tankers overnight, destroying five vessels in retaliation for an exchange of strikes. The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) had targeted a US Navy warship with ballistic missiles twice over the past two days.
The IRGC also launched one of its largest attacks on Jordan to date, firing at least 35 missiles at US bases in the country. However, the Hashemite Kingdom announced that all incoming missiles were intercepted.
Meanwhile, a group of 11 countries, including Canada and several European nations, have joined the UK in banning goods from 'illegal settlements' in the West Bank. The foreign ministers of these countries stated their intention to prevent further harm and build on steps already taken by Ireland, Spain, the Netherlands, Norway, and Belgium.
The affected countries now include Canada, Denmark, Finland, France, Iceland, Ireland, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Spain, Sweden, and the UK.
