Centerra Gold Inc., a Toronto-based miner, has secured Board approval for an expanded share repurchase program of up to $200 million for the full year 2026. This move follows the company's robust second-quarter performance, with Q2FY26 revenue rising 54% year-over-year to $442.7 million and net earnings increasing 5% to $72.1 million.

The decision was made after Centerra executed $49.7 million in share repurchases during Q2FY26 alone. To support these activities and future growth, the company amended its revolving credit facility on July 15, 2026, increasing capacity to $600 million and extending maturity to July 2030.

The strong top-line performance was underpinned by an average realized gold price of $3,437 per ounce in Q2FY26, compared to $2,793 per ounce in the same period last year. The company's self-funded growth strategy aims to return value to shareholders while sustaining high capital expenditures.
