Central Banks Snap Up Record 51 Tons of Gold in June
Central banks around the world made their biggest gold purchases in June, according to data from the World Gold Council (WGC). A total of 51 tons of gold were acquired by these financial institutions during this period.
The National Bank of Poland led the pack with a massive 19-ton purchase, followed closely by China's People's Bank, which bought 15 tons and marked its 20th consecutive month of buying.
Other countries that made significant purchases in June include Uzbekistan (9 tons), Kazakhstan (7 tons), Jordan (3 tons), Georgia (1 ton), and Ghana (1 ton).
