Chattogram Hit by Low Gas Pressure Due to Moheskhali LNG Terminal Supply Cut
Low gas pressure has gripped Chattogram due to reduced supply of regasified liquefied natural gas (RLNG) from the Moheskhali LNG terminal. The Karnaphuli Gas Distribution Company Limited (KGDCL) attributed the disruption to the decline in RLNG supply but did not specify the reason.
The state-owned gas distributor warned that customers will experience low gas pressure until the supply situation improves, causing inconvenience to households and CNG-run vehicles.
Locals reported long queues of CNG-run vehicles at filling stations, with many autorickshaws forced off the roads after waiting hours to refuel. The shortage has affected daily life in Chattogram, forcing commuters like garment worker Latifun Nahar to rely on overcrowded buses due to the scarcity of autorickshaws.
