Cheniere Doubles Down on US LNG Capacity with Corpus Christi Stage 3 Completion

Cheniere Energy has completed its Corpus Christi LNG Stage 3 project in Texas, raising its liquefied natural gas (LNG) production capacity to approximately 56 million tons per year. The new infrastructure adds more than 10 million tons of capacity to the Corpus Christi facility and brings the total capacity of both Cheniere's Corpus Christi and Sabine Pass facilities on the U.S. Gulf Coast to over 25 million tons per year.

The company celebrated a milestone with the production and export of its 5,000th LNG shipment from its U.S. Gulf Coast operations, surpassing the pace of any other global LNG producer in just 10 years since its first shipment in 2016.

Since it began exporting in 2016, Cheniere has supplied over 340 million tons of liquefied natural gas to international markets and now represents more than 10% of the world's total LNG capacity. The company has approximately another 5 million tons per year of expected capacity currently under construction.
