Chennai Gold Price Falls by Rs 160 on August 25

Chennai's gold market saw a decline in prices on August 25, 2026. The price of 22-carat gold decreased by Rs 160 per sovereign, bringing it down to Rs 1,20,080 per sovereign and Rs 15,010 per gram.

This is a decrease of Rs 20 per gram from the previous day's rate. In comparison to last year, gold prices have increased significantly, with a rise of Rs 45,640 per sovereign or about 61.31% since August 25, 2025.
