Chennai Gold Price Plummets to Rs 112,120 per Sovereign

Gold prices in Chennai plummeted by Rs 1,920 per sovereign on September 11, according to recent reports. The current price of gold stands at Rs 1,12,120 per sovereign and Rs 14,015 per gram, after a decrease of Rs 240 per gram.

This drop follows the previous day's prices, where gold was priced at Rs 1,14,040 per sovereign and Rs 14,255 per gram. Meanwhile, silver prices remained unchanged, decreasing by only Rs 10 to sell for Rs 245 per gram (Rs 2,45,000 per kg).

Compared to last year's prices on September 11, 2025, gold has increased significantly, rising from Rs 81,200 per sovereign (Rs 10,150 per gram) to the current price. This marks an increase of Rs 30,920 per sovereign or about 38.07%.
