Chennai Gold Price Plunges 120 Rupees Per Sovereign

On August 10, 2026, the price of gold in Chennai decreased by Rs 120 per sovereign. The new price is Rs 1,11,600 per sovereign and Rs 13,950 per gram, marking a decrease of Rs 15 per gram from the previous day.

The silver prices remained unchanged at Rs 250 per gram (Rs 2,50,000 per kg).

Compared to last year, gold prices have surged by Rs 36,040 or about 47.69%. On August 9, 2025, the price of gold was Rs 75,560 per sovereign (Rs 9,445 per gram).
