Chennai Gold Price Rises 44.55%, Hits New High
The price of gold in Chennai has increased by Rs 200 per sovereign on July 31. According to recent data, the current price of 22-carat gold is Rs 1,06,040 per sovereign and Rs 13,255 per gram.
This marks an increase of Rs 25 per gram from the previous day's price. In contrast, silver prices have remained unchanged at Rs 235 per gram for the past two days.
A comparison with last year's gold prices shows that it has surged by 44.55% since July 30, 2025, when the price was Rs 73,360 per sovereign and Rs 9,170 per gram.
