Chennai Gold Price Surges to New High

The price of gold in Chennai has increased by Rs 560 per sovereign on July 27. The current price is Rs 1,06,960 per sovereign and Rs 13,370 per gram.

This marks an increase of Rs 70 per gram from the previous day's rate. Silver prices remain unchanged at Rs 240 per gram (Rs 2,40,000 per kg).

Compared to last year, gold prices have surged significantly. On July 26, 2025, the price was Rs 73,280 per sovereign (Rs 9,160 per gram), and on July 27, 2026, it has risen to Rs 1,06,960 per sovereign (Rs 13,370 per gram).
