Chennai Gold Price Surges to Rs 1,13,760 on August 15
The price of gold in Chennai has increased by Rs 160 per sovereign on August 15, 2026. The new price is now at Rs 1,13,760 per sovereign and Rs 14,220 per gram.
Compared to the previous day's price, gold has seen an increase of Rs 20 per gram. However, silver prices remain unchanged at Rs 255 per gram or Rs 2,55,000 per kg.
In comparison to last year, gold prices have increased significantly by Rs 39,520, marking a rise of about 53.23% from August 15, 2025's price of Rs 74,240 per sovereign (Rs 9,280 per gram).
