Chennai Gold Price Surges to Rs 1,13,760 Per Sovereign on August 13

The price of gold in Chennai has increased by Rs 160 per sovereign on August 13. This brings the current price to Rs 1,13,760 per sovereign and Rs 14,220 per gram.

This increase is an addition of Rs 20 per gram compared to the previous day's rate. The silver prices remain unchanged at Rs 260 per gram (Rs 2,60,000 per kg).

Compared to last year on August 13, gold prices have increased significantly by Rs 39,440 or about 53.07%. This represents a substantial rise from Rs 74,320 per sovereign (Rs 9,290 per gram) in 2025 to the current rate.
