Chennai Gold Prices Decline on August 25
Chennai's gold market saw a decline in prices on Tuesday, August 25, 2026. According to the Madras Jewellers & Diamond Traders Association (MJDTA), both 22-carat and 18-carat gold rates fell by ₹20 per gram. Silver prices also dropped, declining by ₹10 per gram.
The 22-carat gold rate in Chennai decreased from ₹15,030 to ₹15,010 per gram, while the 18-carat gold price dropped from ₹12,800 to ₹12,780 per gram. The silver rate in Chennai fell from ₹275 to ₹265 per gram.
Jewellers advise buyers to check the latest prices before making a purchase as rates can fluctuate throughout the day due to various market and economic factors.
