Gold prices in Chennai dropped by Rs 360 per sovereign on September 14, 2026. The current price of gold is now at Rs 1,13,000 per sovereign and Rs 14,125 per gram, after a decrease of Rs 45 per gram from the previous day.

The silver price remains unchanged at Rs 250 per gram (Rs 2,50,000 per kg) on September 14. This is the same as it was priced on September 12 evening.

Compared to last year, gold prices have increased significantly. On September 13, 2025, gold was priced at Rs 81,760 per sovereign (Rs 10,220 per gram), but now it's priced at Rs 1,13,000 per sovereign (Rs 14,125 per gram) on September 14, 2026, marking an increase of Rs 31,240 per sovereign or about 38.20%.
