Chennai Gold Prices Edge Up to ₹15,492 Per Gram on August 13
Gold prices in Chennai edged up on August 13, with all three major purity categories gaining ₹1 per gram. The 24K gold rate rose to ₹15,492 per gram, while 22K gold reached ₹14,201 and 18K gold stood at ₹11,981.
The latest move keeps gold near its recent highs after a strong recovery through the first half of August. Prices have been steadily increasing over the past several sessions, with some days seeing sharper gains than others.
The 10-day movement shows a clear recovery in Chennai's gold market, with 24K gold climbing from ₹14,400 per gram on August 4 to ₹15,492 today. The 22K rate has similarly moved up from ₹13,200 to ₹14,201 over the same period.
