Chennai Gold Prices Plummet by ₹45 Per Gram Amid Latest Rate Update
Gold prices in Chennai have declined according to the latest MJDTA rate update. The price of both 22-carat and 18-carat gold has fallen by ₹45 per gram, while the silver rate remains unchanged.
The current price of 22K Gold is ₹14,125 per gram, down ₹45 from the previous price. One sovereign (8 grams) costs ₹1,13,000. The 18K Gold price is also at ₹11,895 per gram, with a ₹45 decline.
Silver, however, remains steady at ₹250 per gram or ₹2,50,000 per kg. It's worth noting that gold jewellery prices may be higher than the listed market rate after adding making charges, wastage and applicable taxes.
