Chennai Gold Prices Soar by Rs 960 Per Sovereign on September 4
The price of gold in Chennai increased by Rs 960 per sovereign on September 4, 2026. The current rate is Rs 1,14,880 per sovereign and Rs 14,360 per gram. This marks an increase of Rs 120 per gram from the previous day.
Meanwhile, silver prices have decreased by Rs 5, selling for Rs 255 per gram (Rs 2,55,000 per kg) on September 4. The price drop is a slight change from the previous day's rate.
In comparison to last year, gold prices have risen significantly. The price of 22-carat gold has increased by Rs 4,565 per gram since September 4, 2025, marking an increase of about 46.60%.
