Chevron Doubles Down on Venezuela Oil Production
Chevron has announced a deal to increase oil production in Venezuela, with current production expected to double.
The expanded position reflects Chevron's confidence in Venezuela's resource potential and its ability to compete for investment within their portfolio.
Chevron CEO Mike Wirth stated that the improved conditions will lead to long-term value from the deal.
The company plans to increase production by approximately 600,000 barrels per day, with Chevron Vice Chairman Mark Nelson hinting at the expansion earlier this year during a meeting with the White House.
