Chevron Doubles Down on Venezuelan Oil Production
Chevron has announced plans to double its oil production in Venezuela as part of a deal with state-owned Petroleos de Venezuela (PDVSA).
The US-based energy giant will increase production from around 170,000 barrels per day to over 350,000 barrels per day.
No specific timeline was given for the increased production, but Chevron has been working on expanding its operations in Venezuela since 2007.
