Chevron Stock Holds Firm Amid Rising Oil Prices and Geopolitical Tensions
Chevron's stock has held steady despite rising oil prices due to renewed tensions between the United States and Iran.
The Brent crude futures price rose by 1.23% to $89.18 per barrel, while US West Texas Intermediate traded at $84.32, up 1.10%, after strikes on Iran's Larak Island increased concerns over supply risks in the Strait of Hormuz.
This move is directly linked to escalating geopolitical tensions and renewed fears of disruptions to global crude flows, which strengthens near-term cash generation potential for integrated oil companies with upstream exposure, including Chevron's global portfolio of producing assets.
Chevron's long-term financial guidance projects adjusted free cash flow growth of more than 10% per year through 2030 under a base case that assumes Brent crude at $70 per barrel.
