Chevron (NYSE:CVX) reported strong sales in its Q2 CY2026 results, exceeding market expectations. The energy company's revenue reached $70.06 billion, a 56.3% year-on-year growth, beating analyst estimates by 5.7%. This impressive performance also translated to an adjusted EPS of $6.06 per share, an 8.8% beat over consensus.

Chevron's operating margin increased significantly, from 9.9% in the same quarter last year to 24.3%, while its free cash flow margin rose to 25.8%. The company's oil production growth was also noteworthy, with a 22.5% year-on-year increase.

While Chevron's adjusted EBITDA margin of 33% beat Wall Street's estimates by 1.7%, some analysts might question the company's expense base, given its revenue growth should have provided better economies of scale and profitability.
