Chicago Board of Trade Reports Mixed Price Movements for Agricultural Commodities
The Chicago Board of Trade reported various price movements for key agricultural commodities on Tuesday, September 1, 2026. Corn Futures saw an increase of $7 in both December and March contracts, reaching prices of $5.45 and $5.59 per bushel respectively.
Soybean Futures also rose by $30 in November and January contracts, trading at $13.18 and $13.33 per bushel. Wheat Futures were up $7 and $8 for December and March contracts, priced at $7.81 and $7.96 per bushel.
However, Live Cattle Futures declined by $27 and $87 in October and December contracts, trading at $212.40 and $213.70 per hundredweight. Feeder Cattle Futures also fell by $65 and $97 in September and October contracts, priced at $320.80 and $316.05 per hundredweight.
Agris at Thamesville reported a similar price trend for the 2026 and 2027 crops, with corn up 8 cents to $6.91/bu and soybeans up 29 cents to $17.27/bu in 2026. The Hensall District Co-op also echoed this pattern.
