Chicago Board of Trade Sees Commodity Declines on July 27
The Chicago Board of Trade closed on Monday, July 27, with several key commodities experiencing declines. Corn Futures for September and December saw drops of 13 cents and 14 cents per bushel, respectively. Soybean Futures also took a hit, down 42 cents and 12 cents per bushel in September and November contracts.
Wheat Futures were down 20 cents and 19 cents per bushel for September and December contracts. Live Cattle Futures fell by $420 and $537 per hundredweight, while Feeder Cattle Futures dropped $1017 and $1075 per hundredweight.
The Andersons at Hensall reported similar declines in their crop prices: 2026 Crop Corn was down 13 cents, 2027 Crop Corn down 8 cents. 2026 Crop Soybeans were down 39 cents, with 2027 Crop Soybeans down 21 cents per bushel.
Snobelen Farms also reported similar declines in their crop prices, matching The Andersons' numbers. Ontario Pork Reports stated that the U-S CME price was up $0.49 to $97.67 per hundredweight, dressed weight, with a 100% formula price increase of $1.53.
