Chicago Board of Trade Sees Fluctuations in Commodity Prices
The Chicago Board of Trade saw some fluctuations in prices for various commodities on Tuesday, September 15. Corn Futures were up by 2 at $5.35 for December and $5.50 for March. Soybean Futures also rose, with November up 15 at $13.19 and January up 15 at $13.35.
On the other hand, Wheat Futures saw a more modest increase, with December up 5 at $7.27 and March up 4 at $7.43. Live Cattle Futures took a hit, however, with October down 162 at $220.62 and December down 195 at $223.20.
Feeder Cattle Futures also declined, with October down 417 at $333.67 and November down 400 at $328.77. Meanwhile, crop prices from Agris at Thamesville were up for Corn and Soybeans in both 2026 and 2027. Soft White Winter Wheat was down in 2026 but up in 2027.
The price of pork in the US is also worth noting, with a $0.86 decline to $86.89 per hundredweight, dressed weight, according to Ontario Pork Reports.
