Chicago Board of Trade Sees Shifts in Commodity Prices on July 24
The Chicago Board of Trade saw significant changes in commodity prices on Friday, July 24. Corn futures experienced little change in September at $4.64 and December down a quarter at $4.87. Soybean futures rose with August up 9 cents at $12.46 and September up 8 cents at $12.39.
Wheat futures fell with September down 17 cents at $6.79 and December down 16 cents at $6.97. Live cattle futures saw an increase in price, with August up 167 cents at $227.07 and October up 120 cents at $222.57. Feeder cattle futures also rose with August up 202 cents at $345.80 and September up 220 cents at $342.05.
The Andersons reported prices for the 2026 crop, with corn steady at $6.28 per bushel and 2027 crop down 1 cent at $6.07 per bushel. Soybeans were up 9 cents at $16.54 per bushel in 2026 and a quarter of a cent higher at $15.50 per bushel for the 2027 crop.
Snobelen Farms reported similar prices, with corn steady at $6.28 per bushel for the 2026 crop and down 1 cent at $6.07 per bushel for the 2027 crop. Soybeans were up 9 cents at $16.44 per bushel in 2026 and a quarter of a cent higher at $15.40 per bushel for the 2027 crop.
