Chicago Board of Trade Sees Significant Price Movements on August 26
The Chicago Board of Trade saw significant price movements on Wednesday, August 26, 2026. Corn futures for September and December rose by $13 and $12 respectively to reach $5.13 and $5.35 per bushel. Soybean futures also increased, with September up $22 at $12.50 and November up $23 at $12.61 per bushel.
Wheat futures saw substantial gains as well, with September rising by $45 to $7.30 and December increasing by the same amount to $7.48 per bushel. Live cattle futures took a hit, however, with October down $30 at $210.65 and December up only $32 at $212.45.
From The Andersons at Kent Bridge and Underwood Grain, prices for 2026 crop corn were reported to be up $13 and $13 respectively to reach $6.77 and $6.76 per bushel. Soybeans from the same sources rose by $28 and $28 to $16.51 and $16.46 per bushel.
