Chicago Markets Close With Mixed Results on July 30
The Chicago Board of Trade reported closing prices for Thursday, July 30. Corn futures saw a decline in September and December contracts, down 3 at $4.45 and $4.68 respectively.
Soybean futures also decreased, with September and November contracts down 4 at $11.71 and $11.88 respectively.
On the other hand, wheat futures saw an increase in September and December contracts, up 2 at $6.63 and up 3 at $6.81 respectively.
In the livestock market, live cattle futures rose in October and December contracts, up 347 at $227.45 and up 337 at $226.70 respectively. Feeder cattle futures also increased, with September and October contracts up 395 at $342.60 and up 452 at $334.15 respectively.
From Wanstead Farmers Co-operative, the price for 2026 crop corn is down 3 at $6.09/BU, while 2027 crop corn is up 1 at $6.08/BU. The price for 2026 crop soybeans is down 4 at $15.94/BU, with 2027 crop soybeans up a half at $14.99/BU.
Ontario Pork Reports also provided some market updates. The US CME price for pork is $98.48 U-S per hundredweight, dressed weight, which is an increase of $0.06 from the previous day. The 100% formula price is down $0.20 at $251.18 per hundred kilograms, dressed weight.
