Chifeng Gold Sees 56% Profit Surge as Gold Prices Hold Steady
Chifeng Gold's net profit attributable to shareholders soared by 56.50% year-over-year in the first half of 2026, reaching RMB 1.73 billion (approximately $54.8 million). This significant increase was driven by elevated gold prices, with operating revenue up 33.11% to RMB 7.02 billion ($221.9 million) and net operating cash flow rising 16.60% to RMB 1.88 billion ($59.4 million).
The company's production totals were impressive, with 6.2 tonnes of gold and 5,399 tonnes of electrolytic copper produced in the first half. However, capital expenditure surged by 45.43% to RMB 1.41 billion ($44.4 million), indicating an accelerated expansion phase for the company.
The debt-to-asset ratio fell to 29.62%, down 4.29 percentage points from the start of the year, reflecting continued optimization of the balance sheet. Excluding non-recurring items, net profit was RMB 1.74 billion (approximately $55.0 million), up 56.34% year-over-year.
