China Secondary Anode Plate Operating Rate Drops Amid Tight Scrap Supply

The Chinese secondary anode plate operating rate has plummeted to 50.03% due to a tight supply of tax-included copper scrap, according to SMM China. This represents a decline of 4.02 percentage points from the previous week's rate. However, with the price difference between primary metal and scrap widening during the week, industry insiders expect a rebound in production next week, projecting an increase of 1.86 percentage points to 51.89%. The reduced supply has been attributed to the restricted availability of tax-included copper scrap.
